Description
Whirling Udumbara II was written for string orchestra and He drum, also called Septangle drum, an instrument designed and created by the composer. The distinctive sound and performance method of the He drum leaves a deep impression on the listener.

According to a Buddhist legend, when the udumbara flowers bloom, as they do once every 3,000 years, whirling dancers accompany them bringing their aroma from another reality into ours.
