Description
The English composer Cyril Scott (1879–1970) studied piano and composition at the Frankfurt Conservatoire. In 1898 he
returned to Liverpool to work as a composer and teacher. He
composed for every musical
genre from opera and symphonies to chamber music, but always took a special interest in writing easy teaching material for children and young people.
The collection ”The Toy Box”, which was written in 1932 for the seventh birthday of his son Desmond, is reprinted for the first time in this new Schott edition.
