Product Details

Description

The Torn Fields is a memorial to the World War I from the viewpoints of poets of the period. Poems by Kipling, Owen, Rosenberg, Sassoon and Sorley present different perspectives on war and its aftermath: trauma, desolation, rejection, but also humanity and hope. The work has a transcendent concluding vision above and beyond the immediate horrors of the torn fields that are its context.
