Product Details

Description

This work has a subtitle ‘Revelation 2011’, which was derived from my feeling about the huge disaster caused by the great earthquake that hit East Japan on 11 March 2011. The unprecedented experience led me to look into my thoughts on the Japanese geographical features and on our way of living in this country more deeply and strictly. That is indispensable for me in order to keep a creative attitude as a composer. Symphony No. 8 will not only become a turning point in my activities as a composer, but also show a new way of thinking for my following works. Toshi Ichiyanagi
