Description
Symphony No. 3 in C minor ("Organ") is one of Camille Saint-Saëns' most important compositions. It is the last of his five symphonies. Saint-Saëns personally conducted the premiere on 19 May 1886 at the fifth concert of the Philharmonic Society in London. He himself judged the "Organ Symphony": "I gave everything I could give there ... what I did then I have not done again."
With over 1,200 titles from orchestral and choral literature, chamber music and music theatre, Edition Eulenburg is the largest score series in the world. It covers a large part of music history from the baroque to classical modernism and looks back on a long tradition.
