Rondo a capriccio

Beethoven's oeuvre naturally provides plenty of material for string quartets. But, after performing the large-scale original works of the serious genre, many an ensemble may long to take things more easily. Thomas-Michael Auner's charming arrangement of the famous piano rondo Die Wut über den verlorenen Groschen gives the opportunity to do so: a rewarding treat for music-making at home or as an encore at a concert.
