Description

In his Requiem, Harald Weiss sets texts from both Romantic lyrical poetry and the Latin Requiem liturgy to an equally diverse musical style. Atmospheric choral movements are juxtaposed with colourful orchestrations and the characteristic sound of bells, which Weiss uses to express the hopeful feelings of someone who has returned home from a journey. ‘I allowed myself to be inspired and led by the concept of “letting go”. This is for me one of the essential aspects of both death and life.’ (Harald Weiss)

In addition to the original full length, 23-section version, this abridged version was made available since 2012.
