Pulse-space

Pulse-space explores the relationship between a pulse that is created by bow changes and a pulse created by beatings between closely spaced pitches within cluster-chords. There is another pulse present as well – a kind of macro-pulse – which defines the piece's overall form. Eventually we relate all these types of pulse. The delineation between each is not sharp; they are allowed to bleed one into another. The piece seeks to blur its own parameters and to cause our ears to question a categorical perception of elements.
