Piano Composition

Ruth Zechlin arranged those letters of the name „ZIMMERMANN MUSIKVERLAG“ which can be transferred to notes - namely E A (E)S E A G - into a free piano composition. Cryptogrammes as a means to create a sequence of notes for a composition have had a long tradition - as can be seen in B A C H. In her short piece, Ruth Zechlin opposes thoughtful lyric elements to active and virtuoso passages.
