Description
Influenced by a series of wood-engraved prints titled 'Opus' by Russian artist Naum Gabo, the three movements of this piece reflect the varying states that result from simple linear designs floating against dark, mottled backgrounds, with white lines echoing the effect of light. Gabo's constructivist influences based in the use of glass and transparency shine through in the music, which is brilliantly innovative and forward looking in its approach.
