Description
During the composition of this work I learnt that a sea eagle named Erin, one of only a small number of this rare bird to be bred in Scotland, had fallen victim to a poison laid by man. The image of a large bird singing out across the turbulent sea, though not specifically in my mind when I began the work, soon became very important and relevant to the work. John Casken
