Description
The emperor is fooled by two charlatans who tailor his clothes out of air. When he proudly presents himself to his subjects, they all laugh at him. Luckily, the queen passes her naked husband a coat to put on. The emperor promises to make amends and ensures that hunger becomes a thing of the past in his realm! Peter Stamm’s music is simple and yet full of surprises. The work can be performed by a mixed ensemble of professionals and children and its modest instrumental forces make it highly suitable for performances in limited spaces.
