Description
The required modern playing techniques of these two extremely virtuoso pieces make a colourful, differentiated tonal world with quickly changing musical incidents accessible to both the performer and the listener. They reflect the preference of Far Eastern music for nature-related imagery which is characteristic of Toshi Ichiyanagi's work too.
Ichiyanagi's compositions include orchestral works, solo concertos, chamber music works and music for traditional Japanese instruments.
