About Ulrike Volkhardt
is one of the leading innovative recorder players. She studied with the great German master Ferdinand Conrad in Hanover, and attended the master class with Kees Breke at Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam. Recently, she has developed unconventional concerts in cooperation with graphic and performance artists. Ulrike Volkhardt is currently a professor at the Folkwang Hochschule in Essen. She is founder and president of the European Recorder Players Club, and has been guest professor for master classes in Europe, Australia and Asia.main interest: One of her main interests is combining historic music (Medieval, Renaissance, and Baroque) with newly commissioned works, as well as mixing music with dance and performance art.
