TOM VAN DER GELD started his teaching career in 1971 at Berklee College of Music in Boston. In the meantime he has taught at several universities including the Hochschule für Musik in Frankfurt and the Musikhochschule Hamburg.
He is presently Professor of Music for ear-training, harmony, improvisation, ensemble and mallets at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Mannheim and Lecturer at the Hochschule for Music in Cologne.
