About Massimiliano Pitocco

Massimiliano Pitocco studied the bayan with Professor M. Bonnay in Paris and the organ with G. Franzoni and M. Radulescu in Pescara and Cremona. He won numerous international bayan competitions, like the first prize in Castelfidardo (1986 and 1988) and the second prize at the International Bayan Competition (Switzerland, 1989).

He played in some of the most renowned venues worldwide, including the Teatro Pergola in Florence, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Teatro Comunale in Bologna, the Berlin Konzerthaus, the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari, the Tonhalle in Zurich and Lucerne, the Conservatoire Giuseppe Verdi in Milan, the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome, and the Teatro Bellini in Naples. He also cooperated with eminent musicians such as Gidon Kremer, Ivan Fedele, Milva, Luis Bacalov, and Ennio Morricone.

He holds the chair of bayan at the Conservatoire Santa Cecilia in Rome and he held master classes at the Royal Academy of London as well as in leading institutions in Portogruaro, Riga and Pescara.
