About Gesa Luecker

Gesa Lücker (piano) has concertized extensively in the major concert halls of Europe, China, and the USA. Born in Braunschweig, she has performed since childhood and studied under Martin Dörrie and Matti Raekallio at the Hochschule for Music and Theater in Hanover, where she completed her concert diploma. She has also participated in master classes given by Arie Vardi, Fabio Bidini, and Jerome Rose. She has won prizes from the Bruno Frey Foundation, the Chopin Society in Hanover, as well as other national and international competitions. Since October of 2010, Gesa Lücker has been a professor for piano in Cologne. A number of her students have won prizes at national and international competitions. Her chamber music partners have included soloists from the Amsterdam Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as Tanja Becker-Bender, Christoph Eß, and Sayaka Schmuck.
