Altes Lied by Heinrich Poos for mixed a cappella choir (SSATBB) is a three-part sacred work which addresses a topic that had been frequently taken up in old times as well – love. In this case a tragic story: 'bin tot im Herzen' ['am dead at heart']. The very quiet, short sentences testify to the persona's grief and sorrow in German and Latin, with the pain of the broken heart becoming apparent again and again.
