This manual shows how elderly and dementia patients can be activated by everyday objects, proverbs and music. It deals with 20 themes from the annual cycle and everyday life, such as "Roses and Gardens", "Heart and Soul", "Duty and Pleasure".
The introduction to each theme is made through everyday objects, followed by poems, proverbs and songs as well as questions that can lead to conversations. In addition, there are seated dances and suggestions for mobilization. Even lay persons can use the contents directly.
The CD accompanying the book contains numerous songs to sing along and move as well as well-known classical works to listen to and enjoy. The collection is suitable for relatives, volunteers and carers in old people's homes.
