Suite for orchestra (1919) arranged for clarinet, saxophone quartet and piano by Sebastian Gottschick (2015)
• Maintains character of the original
• Unusual instrumentation
• As recorded by Sony Classical
Written for Sabine Mayer and the Alliage Quintett 2015 and subsequently recorded.
Scored for the seemingly unusual instrumentation of clarinet in A (doubling on C), saxophone quaret and piano, the spirit and symphonic character of the work is preserved. This unusual instrumentation also brings the opportunity to explore new colours within the ensemble.
In significant passages, the original instrment in the orchestral version (for example in solos) is indicated in parantheses.
